First Steps

On Saturday, the 13th Daniel took his first steps. He had done one step forward before going to a crawl, but yesterday was the first time he took more steps then that. I can't remember if it was only two or if it was three, but is was definitely more and he is showing more confidence with standing for a long time on his own and wanting to walk. It is so fun to watch him change, and Amelia too.

These are some of my favorite pictures of the last month.


Here is Amelia getting ready for our first camping trip of the year! She was so excited!

Sometimes in the morning I let Amelia put on some of my makeup and I think it is so cute! She loves to put lotion on, and eye shadow, and she is just learning about putting lipstick on. So much fun! :)



Amelia has never wanted to let me do anything with her hair. Just a few weeks ago she let me do pigtails and they even stayed in for like 2 hours!!! I was impressed and I hope she lets me do it again soon. I think it is so cute!





At a birthday party Daniel had some watermelon and as you can see he loved it!

Birthdays

This month we celebrated Amelia's 3rd birthday and Daniel's 1st! We had an "Dora the Explorer" themed birthday at Forest Park. It was a beautiful sunny day and I think everyone had a good time. I am sorry the pictures are kind of all out of order... oh well.

Daniel loved his cake, it just took him a few minutes to warm up to it, but then he dug in!!

Amelia was so excited to be at the park and to have some family and friends to celebrate with.





My wonderful friend made the cake for Daniel and all the star cupcakes too! They were delicious and so cute!!

Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there! I am so thankful for all the father's in my life. And I am so thankful for this one who lives at our house... He is the best dad to Amelia and Daniel, and a wonderful husband, and father. I am so thankful for you Michael!

Birthdays

We have a lot of birthdays that have been happening, however I have only caught two picture out of them all. Michael is having his birthday next week, it is his Dad's birthday today. My sister had her birthday, and my Grandma Clarice and Uncle Bruce had theirs this month as well.

Here is my dear Grandma Clarice, she is the best Grandma, and I love her so much! I can't tell you how much I have learned from her. She is a wonderful, strong, and smart lady!

I have been really bad at taking pictures lately. But I do like these two. Amelia loves to play with the cat, and so does Daniel. Good thing is that the cat is nice to them... or puts up with a lot. Amelia loves to play with play dough.

A Tuesday morning at our house...

Last Tuesday Amelia, Daniel and I were having a good old time, so I decided to take a few pics. Here is what we were doing :

Earlier that morning Amelia had watched a Curious George show where George went swimming in a lake. So Amelia wanted to pretend to jump into a lake. (I can't seem to get the pics in the right order, oh well.)

The whole time Amelia and I are pretending to jump into the lake Daniel was eating, and so cutely peers around and smiles at us.


Next we were playing kitty cats. Amelia set out my food, and was very diligent about keeping my bowl full of soup.

Then Amelia told me she needed to go to work. (often times I will tell Amelia that Daddy is at work helping people) She told me she needed to go to work to help dinosaurs, and blew me a kiss and waved bye bye. It was too cute!




And Daniel kept peaking and smiling. :) It was a good morning.

Mother's Day

Well I forgot to bring the camera to my Mom's when we celebrated with her. :( But we had a good time. We had wonderful spaghetti, salad, bread and corn, and apple pie for dessert. Michael and John BBQ a great dinner for Jeanne at our house on Mother's day. We had chicken kabobs, spicy beans and corn, and a great bread that they warmed on the BBQ. He had also bought some guacamole chips because Jeanne likes guacamole. They were yummy.

Easter part 2

The Saturday before Easter we went to an egg hunt that was put on by someone in our ward. Amelia got to see all the eggs sitting out before it began. She was getting excited! :)
