These pictures are a bit out of order... and they are from November 2011 through last week... sorry such a muble jumble.

We BBQed 4 times last week, and had smores each day! It was the best!

Daniel LOVES his Daddy! He calls for him from his crib when he wakes up, and shouts "Daddy!" when he comes home from work.

 

He likes to do everything like Daddy!

Cousin visit!

Amelia's cousin came for a visit over night the other weekend and we had a lot of fun, and Amelia was in Heaven! Amelia had a hard time sleeping because she was so excited! Kaitlin was so helpful and nice to Amelia and Daniel we thought we should keep her... but I don't think her mom would like that :)We were glad it was beautiful weather that weekend as well. ( I also posted some pictures from Kaitlin's baptism so don't forget to see the post bellow.)

I made monkey bread in these muffin tins this last week, and thought they tasted even better in the muffin tins then in a large bunt pan. I did have to change the temp and time. (up to 375, and they baked for around 10-15 min)

Baptism!

We were so happy for our niece Kaitlin to be baptized this last Sunday. It was a wonderful day and she was all smiles! She is a great example to us and are so happy for her and her decision! I don't have too many pics but I have a few. :) 

 Her mom was super nice and had all of us family over for dinner before her baptism! It was super yummy and Michael said, "She makes the best meatball sandwiches!"

Grateful Sunday

Man, if I keep doing these Grateful Sunday posts that might be the only thing on my blog... I'll have to rename it..

I am thankful for technology... making it possible to watch General Conference for our church from our home live, and to feel the wonderful spirit it brings! and to be able to keep in touch with family no matter how far away they are.

Grateful Sunday

I think these weekly gratitude post are good for me, I can tell already :)

The week I am grateful for spring, for the beautiful sunshine! I have been able to go for walks this week, and enjoyed the sun and warmer weather. I can't wait for the summer to come! One walk was through some woods and it reminded me of camping and how much we love begin outside.

I am also grateful for my children and to watch them as they learn so many new things!

Kid notes

Daniel has a few funny words he says...

Button- But ( if you add one more t, it makes it funny to me)

He now says "why" after you tell him something... not sure he knows what he is saying but he says it at the right time.

He says "OOhhh" after you explain something to him. It is really cute, and I am amazed he says it at the correct times, once again, I don't know if he really knows what he is saying.

Amelia is still loving Dancing, and being a teacher, and has an amazing imagination. Good thing her Daddy does too. Otherwise she would get bored playing with just me.

Amelia can almost ride her bike with training wheels all by herself, she still need a little help getting started at time, but steers great and can go very fast!

Gratitude

Today at church we had a great talk about gratitude, and how when we journal things we are grateful for it helps us. So I have always enjoyed reading other people's post listing things they are grateful for and so I thought I would try and do it weekly myself as well. It could be fun to look back on over time.

This week I am grateful for:

My little family! I am so thankful for Amelia and Daniel and for the cheery disposition. I am grateful for the times they have been playing so well together. And for a wonderful husband who is perfect for me!

I am also grateful for the Gospel and all that it teaches us about our purpose here on earth. It is not always easy... this life here on earth, but I gain strength and comfort through knowing that God has a plan for us, and that he loves us. If we do what he asks us to do we will be happy, and all will workout.

Snow, Visiters, Valentine's and Monsters

I have recently discovered a new web page called Pintrest. It takes too much of my time away, but it does have so many cool ideas. These monster puppets were from that site as well as bath paint made with food color and shaving cream... it has been fun.

For Valentine's Cards this year we did hand prints on cards, the kids had fun getting all messy.




In the late part of February my cousin and his wife came to visit, and we had a great time with them and eating yummy Indian food.

Yes, snow came again to our house, and in fact it even came today. They kids love it and always want to go and play in it. Today when Daniel woke up from his nap he saw just a dusting of snow on the ground and said "Mess!"


Over the last month or so Daniel has been calling Amelia "May." I thought it was so cute and even started calling Amelia May myself a little. But this last week Daniel learned how to say Amelia's name and it is so cute to hear him call for her and for Amelia to respond back to him. Amelia is such a good big sister, she is always wanting Daniel to sit and listen to a book that she will read, or to play a game with her. She does like her alone time, but a lot of the time she wants him to play. It is very sweet. Lately Amelia has been calling Daniel "Dans" or "Buds" I love it! :)

And a side note- for history sake. Over the last week we found out Daniel is fructose intolerant... so there has been less pears, apples, raisins and high fructose corn syrup in our house lately. Hopefully he grows out of this, but until then we will all be a little more healthy, and picky about his fruit.
